"...You must all be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry" (James 1:19)
Perhaps we are correct to assume communication involves shutting out the distraction of technology... I confess we're still working on this one ourselves!
According to google.com - communication means to succeed in conveying one's ideas or evoking understanding in others.
Communication is a method of (1) using words successfully AND (2) skillful listening. (refer back to last weeks blog "Conflict Resolutions" for details)
Somewhere along the way married couples have lost the ability to talk with one another. After 28 years of marriage we've come to understand it's the plan of the enemy to keep us shut down. Too often his carefully constructed plan has worked.
God desires unity, Psalms 133:1 say, Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity! But the enemy plots division!
James 3:5-6 the tongue is a small member, yet it boasts of great things. How great a forest is set ablaze by such a small fire! And the tongue is a fire, a world of unrighteousness. The tongue is set among our members, staining the whole body, setting on fire the entire course of life, and set on fire by hell.
Communication is the divine plan of our Creator therefore it must be actualized. Just do it!
